SuperGames was started by Dr. Charles Mand and Dr. Gary Moore in 1982 through The Ohio State University. The organization began as a way for Outdoor Adventure Ph. D. Graduate students at The Ohio State University to continue their studies in an outdoor environment with area youth. In just six years the programs exploded and a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization was formed as Direct Instructional Support Systems.
