This seven-session course covers the foundations of self taped auditions from understanding the basics of lighting, sound, and framing to breaking down and analyzing scenes from 2 lines to many pages. Central to the class, is learning how casting directors and production view our work. The Voice is one of your most versatile actor's tools and learning to manipulate it is central to building your actor's tool box.

The techniques in this class can be applied to on-camera character creation but we use animation and video game characters to explore how to create rich vocal characterizations.

Dialect Resources
Report
This is a great resource to begin your exploration of dialects. While it is not about teaching a specific accent, it IS about teaching you how they work and how to better manipulate your own speech mechanism. Paul Meier is one of the best resources out there for actors learning dialects. His materials are detailed but accessible and these books are investments in your craft that you will revisit time and again.
