Josh and the staff from the Whim Agency set-up, served, bartended, and cleaned up for my daughter's wedding. All the staff were personable and hard-working - all around fabulous! Josh spent a couple hours with me on the telephone before the event. He helped me plan the evening start to finish and it went seamlessly! I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Do yourself a favor look elsewhere. They are going to say no rates in writing you have to call us. Then when you do and leave messages they won't answer or reply. Furthermore they will complain and call you a liar when you tell them that's why they have negative reviews. Only after writing a negative review did they reply to me, and right away too! Super convenient.

I decided last minute to hire some help for a 60th birthday party I was hosting. Lisa and Pete showed up and anticipated our every need. They stepped right in and made the evening seamless. Guests commented on how amazing they were as well. Super friendly and attentive. I will definitely contact The Whim Agency again if I throw a large party. It was nice to be able to relax and enjoy hanging out with my guests for a change!

We held an afternoon open house for 80 to celebrate our son's wedding with local family and friends. Michelle made it possible for us to the enjoy the day without a thought to the food! She began with a pickup at Comforts, then managed two college students who'd never done a party before-- they found her so great to work for that one of them offered to work with her in the future. Michelle timed the passing of a large variety of food items, both hot and cold, just perfectly, with absolutely no need for direction from my wife or me.

At the end of the day, she tidied up, including preparing to-go boxes for the lingering last guests. Her relaxed and friendly demeanor make her really easy to work with. We highly recommend her and will certainly use her for parties in the future.

I am so thankful we found and hired the Whim Agency for our wedding day. Everyone associated with the company was very professional. I had one person (the lead server) who I coordinated with and who answered all my questions, as I'd never planned a wedding or such a big party before, who then coordinated with all the other staff. Everyone was on time, hard working, and very kind to our guests.

At the end of the night we were shocked that they had gone above and beyond, cleaning all the dishes we had brought that we only asked that they load into crates. I would recommend this company and their professional servers and bartenders for any size party. My friend already hired them for a backyard cocktail party and the service continued to impress us.

Amazing, professional staff. Used Whim for our wedding for food, bartending, and day-of coordination. We had a pretty complex wedding and the Whim team handled it exceptionally well, handling the bumps along the way. We used two people tonight for a 50th wedding anniversary. Jack and Carol were so pleasant and helpful, they allowed my wife and I to enjoy the evening not having to run around tending to everyone. They helped clean up after the party so we could unwind and chat when the main crowd left. We visited the bay area with our toddler and needed a trustworthy sitter so we enjoy our vacation. Websites like care.com don't background check and it was critical I use a reputable organization. Whim Agency was suggested by friends, and we noticed they have a long history so we went with them. They sent us Ingrid who was fantastic with our son.

She was responsible, had a super personality and kept up with our little one just fine. (He's SUPER active.) He was comfortable with her right away, and so were we. We wish we could take her home with us! Thanks Whim!

Where do you hire a singing telegram? I had to ask around. I was referred to Whim by my co-worker. We had a beautiful Marilyn Monroe come to my husband's 50th birthday and it was really an enjoyable evening. Five stars for Marilyn, Whim and my husbands ability to laugh at himself.

I have worked for Julie a few years now. All the clients I have worked with have been professional and friendly. I would also say the same form the other Whim contractors. In addition we have fun while getting to work for a variety of great people! I highly recommend Julie.

In May I reserved a staff person to assist us for our Christmas Eve party. Unfortunately no one showed up!

When I needed some all-around office and household assistance I wasn't sure who to call. The person would be looking at my files, my closets and the quirky way I arrange my spices. (Trust me, it's quirky). Plus all the embarrassing motivational notes I have around the house (no comment there). Many agencies don't really know the people they contract to do this kind of thing.

I had heard that Whim had been around about 35 years and that they were more like a family with their staff. I found to to truly be the case. I got the help I needed from a fun and personable 'Whimmer' who was a self-starter who knew her stuff. I recommend Whim. I was blown away to discover all the other things they offer.

We had a fantastic helper for Thanksgiving. Her name was Ann. So glad she was there to do all of our dishes. She even helped my wife cook! We had not used Whim in a few years, we used to live in Mill Valley where there old office was. A friend reminded me of them. So glad to see they are still here in the bad economy. You made our holiday a real holiday. Thank you Ann and Whim.

This is the best place to find staffing in Marin. Warm helpful folks that provide everything you could ask for. I love the fact I can find a housecleaner or a babysitter or a great food server for my parties here.
