Used to be so fun going here every Saturday night to hear the great bands in the area and do a little two stepping. not anymore. sigh Have gone there since a was a child with family, and when in high school with friends, then took my girls there. its where they learned to dance! Really miss it. Love the way it looks now.but no more Saturday night dances.

My husband and I recently hosted a 50th Wedding Anniversary party for his parents at Swiss Alp Hall and it was the perfect venue for the rustic yet elegant vibe we were going for. The hall is so cute with tons of character and the grounds are beautiful and very well kept. DeLisa was a pleasure to work with and was so helpful and quick to respond to my questions leading up to the event.
During the party, she and her husband Ron did a great job of sticking to the sidelines while still being available for anything we needed. The restrooms were clean and the a/c was cold, despite the brutal August heat. It was a great night full of love, laughter and southern charm. I highly recommend it!

The hall is so beautiful with so much potential. However, the owners (or shall I say one owner) are extremely difficult. I could not enjoy my wedding night, nor could my family because everywhere we turned the owner was right there pulling us aside for something else. As soon as I would start to enjoy myself, it was like something else was wrong. I provided everything that was asked of us in our contract, including security, and TABC certified bartenders.
As well as picked rose petals the day of my wedding, because we couldn't use fake ones. That was all fine, and 100% understandable. However, it wasn't until 9pm at my reception that I discovered we had to stop serving our guests at 11, even though my bartenders were paid for until midnight, and at no point did the owners inform us that not only all of our guest (also fine with us) but ALL of our decorations needed to be out of their hall by midnight.
I spent my wedding night, in tears, and running around with nothing but issues from the owner. The contract never stated that we would have to remove and take out every single decoration by midnight on the night of our wedding. The next morning, when we packed up all of our boxes of decorations, and we're leaving the hall, there was another couple showing up to see the hall.
It seems like, even though we paid nearly $4,000 for our wedding to be here, (including the cost of help from the owners and clean up fees) they did not care about us or our guests. Needless to say, I will always remember how awful my wedding night was because of them. My husband, and myself, as well as BOTH sides of our family are so hurt and disappointed that we had to spend our wedding night the way that we did. Please, please, please do not let these people ruin your big day.
