Services
My name is Dan Warner. I am the owner and operator. I personally operate the sound console at the concerts I am producing and am DJ for all events. Stage 1 Sound is not owned by or commissioned by any radio station, bar, school or other organization. I freely accept or decline to do business based on my values.
Stage 1 Sound puts the main focus of the event on you. I won't jabber incessantly, tell lame jokes or play games you didn't request. I will play your requests as quickly as possible and be respectful to everyone. I will pay attention to those in attendance for clues that will make the dance unique to the setting.
I used to carry over 3,200 CDs to each and every event. This will allow me greater flexibility when it comes to the physical space I need for events and allow me to have all of my music available at all times without the physical constraints. There are more than 60,000 songs available. The content ranges from 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and newer hits (all formats.)
Stage 1 Sound has strived to be the best in sonic quality. The most common comments I hear from people at the shows are "how good the sound is" or "we can really feel the music." Dan was the DJ at my wedding reception in southern MN, and would highly recommend him in the future. He was very professional, reaching out early in the process to gather information on your style, expectations, and personal touches. He was accommodating on speeches, bouquet toss, background music before the dance, guest engagement, etc. You can tell he takes pride in his work, setting up hours before to optimize sound quality.
We sent him a list of songs, and he filled in the blanks with related music that were all hits. I received several complements throughout the night on how this was the best DJ they have heard at a wedding. I couldn't agree more, 5/5.

Dan, did an excellent job for our son's wedding on 8/11/18. He came out weeks ahead of time to check out where the dance was being held and how the tent would be setup. He went through music options and discussed how he adjusts to the crowd. He kept everyone dancing to the very end. He brings a large setup of equipment and lights. Would recommend him for any wedding dance.

Worth every penny! Dan was professional, well organized and most of all FUN! He kept things moving throughout during our wedding reception and kept the dance floor FULL throughout the whole night. My wife and I received many compliments from our guests and bridal party on our music and said it was the most fun they've ever had at wedding. I would recommend Stage 1 Sound to anyone who is looking for a DJ in the area.
