Since 1975 we have catered all types of events, including corporate celebrations, product launches, gamer parties, gallery and store openings, receptions and holiday parties, university graduations, reunions and banquets, conferences, political events, dinners, weddings, school fundraisers, casino parties, private functions and many more.

Our chefs are passionate about the use of local and sustainable products.
Our production facilities are situated south of Market, in the heart of the produce and food markets of San Francisco. JHE enjoys a phenomenal reputation in the Bay Area for lovingly prepared and beautifully presented food. Catering is the heart and soul of our company, and providing personal attention to each client is our highest priority when designing the perfect menu.
We offer an incredible array of indoor and outdoor lighting services, as well as a dedicated designer and team of technicians who work with our clients to create lightscapes that enhance the visual terrain of an event space. Offering these services in-house allows us to work with most budgets, and integrating our lighting services with everything else we offer leads to harmonious coordination and successful production.

There aren't words to describe how amazing Jane Hammond's team is! If you're on the fence, take it from an internet stranger - go with the JHE team if you can. My husband and I feel so fortunate to have been able to collaborate with the JHE team to create a wedding experience beyond our dreams. For context, we held a ~150 guest wedding at the Asian Art Museum this past June 2022, and we started working with the JHE team around September 2021.

I firmly reiterate all the previous positive reviews and will try to highlight some things specific to our experience: Naomi was our main point-of-contact and we feel like we hit the wedding jackpot with her. She is super organized, very responsive/communicative, and most importantly, incredibly kind. For us, it was important that we worked with someone who wouldn't hesitate to give us their opinion when asked: after all, it's our first time planning a big event. Naomi was unflappable throughout the process and provided insightful input from her deep industry experience whenever asked.

The entire JHE team never made us feel like any idea was too out-there or absurd, and they helped guide us to create an unforgettable day with enthusiasm and respect. Particularly in the last few weeks when we had last-minute changes, Naomi made us feel great and went way above & beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. You truly get what you pay for with the JHE team.

They are worth every single penny. There are so many things that we never worried about because Naomi & crew took care of it without us having to spare a thought. These details by Naomi and James truly set the wedding ambience. How amazing does it feel to show up on your own wedding day and marvel at spectacular details that you never even had to lift a finger about? (To be clear, whenever we cared about a detail, Naomi did everything to make that vision come alive.

There were just a lot of things we didn't want to worry about, and she made sure that we didn't.) Here are some things we heard from our guests directly: 1. Cocktail hour was amazing because servers were constantly streaming by with delicious and warm food. 2. All staff were amazingly kind and welcoming. (This really helped set the tone of the wedding!) 3.

Food was delicious. A lot of our guests had a specific dish they could recall as their favorite! One more note about the food - we wanted Taiwanese popcorn chicken as a late night snack. When we tried it during our sample meeting, it was pretty good but didn't taste exactly right, so we made a couple comments about what might need to be changed and mentioned our favorite popcorn chicken spots. I'm not sure what Chef Jason ended up doing, but when the popcorn chicken came out on the wedding night, it was AMAZING!

Multiple friends asked us which boba shop supplied the popcorn chicken - and if you're familiar with popcorn chicken, you'll know how high that praise is. So even if you're trying to incorporate a cuisine that you don't see represented on their sample menus, I can vouch that they will do everything they can to make it perfect. I feel like I can be a pretty critical person, but I could rave about the JHE team for ages. There was nothing negative about our experience - truly. Thank you again to Naomi, Jane, James, and team!

My (now) husband and I could not have been more thrilled and lucky to get to work with Jane and team when planning our wedding. Looking back, the 3 year (!) planning cycle was nothing short of dramatic. a venue that cancelled on us with 7 months to go, followed quickly by covid delays and then ultimate cancellation, a new date, downsizing and yet another change of venue.

The team stayed unwavering and strong in their support of us. Adapting to all the changing circumstances and providing endless supportive advice. Ceanna has become a true friend and confidant through the process and we would not have gotten our dream day if it wasn't for this unbreakable team. Our day was perfectly executed, better than my vision of how it could have been.

My only regret, not getting to eat and enjoy the wonderful catering they provide! Luckily that means we just have to have many more parties and events with this incredible crew. Thank you Jane Hammond Events for giving us these memories! We love you guys!

Janes' team and food were incredible. The staff were very personable--sought us out to ensure we got the full sampling of all the tasty things. The Wagyu beef was redic--the best I've had. We hunted Jane down after the event to get her contact info for when we throw a party.

My fiance and I were planning to get married in August 2019. We faced a number of blunders along the way, and Jane and her team were there with us every step of the way to help us navigate various crises. First, our original venue (the Bently Reserve) unexpectedly canceled all weddings on their books, including our wedding, which was six months ahead of our date. Jane's team was on the phone with us immediately, helping us figure out the situation, potential remedies, and brainstorming new venues.

They were able to help us find an amazing venue on short notice. Then covid hit, and our wedding was postponed. We checked in with Jane every few months, as she continued to help us navigate the dicey wedding scene in 2020. Although we've decided to hold off on our big wedding for the foreseeable future until covid is behind us (we will plan to have a small wedding in the meantime), and didn't get to work with Jane on the actual wedding, we are so grateful for her guidance and expertise throughout our very challenging wedding planning process.

It has been abundantly clear that she is very knowledgeable and loved throughout the industry and knows absolutely everyone in the SF wedding ecosystem. We're very much looking forward to planning our big wedding with Jane's team once we are ready. They will definitely be our first call!

There truly are no words that can express my gratitude, appreciation and love for the entire Jane Hammond Events Team for creating the most incredible night of our lives. My husband and I, and our family, and our friends, and our wedding party, and our guests (and probably guests dogs cousins) have been raving about flawlessness of our wedding; all thanks to Naomi and the JHE team.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - THIS IS THE DREAM TEAM FOR ANY EVENT PLANNING, especially weddings, I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about how they created an event that exceeded all of our wildest dreams for our special day. My husband and I were moving across the country for the year leading up to our wedding, and because of this big move we decided to book a planner 12+ months from our date.

With living on the other side of the country during our wedding planning process, we knew we needed a team to help us. Jane Hammond and her Sr. Event Manager; Naomi agreed to meet with us to discuss our vision, our timeline and their availability. Despite their busy calendars with more pressing events, they were welcoming to us and our wedding that was more than a year out!

My husband and I were already so impressed by their responsiveness and client-first attitude before the meeting that the in-person consultation felt more like a formality and we were thrilled to be working with them! Naomi was completely on top of everything for the rest of the planning process. She understood our vision from the start, even though some of our ideas were unique to us; a surprise Chambong toast.

We wanted a modern, classic, tropical inspired wedding in the heart of San Francisco, and Naomi shared recommendations for additional vendors (DJ, Lighting, Florals, etc) and we booked all of them! Naomi took care of all the details of planning, including handling almost all communication with our venue and the vendors we had booked. That left only the fun part of planning to us!

We worked with her to decide on food and decor, and she completely insulated us from the difficult chore of logistics. She also worked around our schedules to make everything as convenient for us as possible, even meeting with us during busy holiday times when we were in town visiting with family. We ended up having a great time planning our wedding, and with Naomi keeping us on track, we managed to get through the whole process without feeling stressed or panicky!

It goes without saying that both our wedding day and rehearsal went perfectly; keep in mind we had 9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsman, 4 ushers and our immediate families on hand! By the time we arrived at our venue for the rehearsal, all the details were coordinated, and there were no tasks left for us or our wedding party to do. Naomi arrived early to coordinate the set up, after having received and personally driven our signage, surprise favors, and even coordinated a custom neon sign to be hung on a custom backdrop for our photobooth!

If any issues came up the week leading to our Wedding or on the day, we didn't hear about it. Whenever I saw her she seemed to be busy but calm, in complete control and with a smile for everyone she passed. Our parents adored her, and kept talking about what a great energy she brought to our wedding! I can't recommend Naomi and The Jane Hammond Events Team highly enough. Hopefully this long review conveys just a small part of how much my husband and I appreciated the entire team being there for us during the months leading up to our wedding.

We really couldn't have done it without Jane and Naomi, and if we ever need to plan any kind of event again, we'll definitely be calling Jane Hammond Events! Thank you again to the ENTIRE Jane Hammond Events Team for making the best day of our lives more incredible than we ever could have imagined or hoped!

If I could give Jane Hammond Events 6 stars, I would! As someone who has to plan big corporate events, I feel very fortunate to have Amy Trapp and the entire Jane Hammond Events team behind me. They are amazing executors and can essentially bring anything you want to life. I've worked with Amy for two years in a row, the first party with 350 guests and the most recent party with 800 guests.

Both events, different in scale and theme, were executed so well by the team and had rave reviews from the guests. The quality of their food is off the CHARTS and is always a highlight for the guests. The amazing food makes me want to hire them for my events year after year but the level of service, creativity, kindness, attention to detail, and execution seals the deal.

If you have any hesitation about booking them for your next event, don't. So many thanks to Jane Hammond Events for always going above and beyond and making my job less stressful.;

I found Jane Hammond Events on yelp and decided to hire them for the company event I was planning on August 15th and I am soooo glad I went with this amazing company! There's a reason they have 5 stars on yelp, believe it! Communication with Naomi and her team was so easy. They responded right away. Addressed any requests from our CEO, accepted suggestions made for the BBQ and delivered such an amazing event!

They helped coordinate the event and we bounced ideas off each other. I felt very confident the event would go smoothly and successfully and it did! My coworkers raved about how amazing the event went, how friendly the staff was, and how much they enjoyed the food, appetizers, desserts, and drinks. The day of, Naomi and team arrived early to set up and everything was ready by the time the event started.

Everyone was extremely friendly and professional, I got along with all of them :) James and a couple of other staff members helped me break down the tents and chairs I had brought and put up, that was very kind of them :) Do not hesitate in hiring this company! Highly recommended! I will be working with them again in the future for all of our big company events! Thanks so much JH Events!

This marvelous crew made my dear friend's 70th birthday even more special with their friendly, engaging staff, impeccable service, and some of the best hors d'oeuvres I've ever tasted. From the first delicious nibble to a sumptuous dinner and a final, endless dessert, every bite had me salivating like Pavlov's dog. I would legit have the pork belly skewers as my last meal, especially if I could choose death by gluttony.

Words cannot describe how thankful and lucky we were to have Jane Hammond and her amazing team plan and coordinate our wedding day. They work seamlessly with each other and all the separate vendors at our wedding last September. Being fully occupied with a busy work schedule all throughout wedding planning, I wanted an event coordinator who handled everything for me: lighting, amazing food, DJ/music, photo booth, draping, decor -- pretty much handle all important aspects of a wedding for me, while still catering all the details to what I wanted. Needless to say, JHE is well experienced and had an answer to all my questions or needs.

They were flexible with our needs/budget, had open communication all throughout the planning process, were thoughtful with our preferences, and highly professional. Thank you so much for coordinating a beautiful event!

As a first time planner, there was a lot of stress around throwing my company's 350 person corporate party. Once Jane and Amy came into the picture, everything got easier. My only regret is not involving them sooner. At first, I was relying on them for food and drinks, but they brought so much more to the table. Their setup and execution far exceeded my expectations.

On the day of the event they coordinated with all the other vendors and solved any unanticipated issues which allowed me to relax, let go and enjoy the event. They'll be my go-to for future events.

JHE was our caterer when my wife and I were married about nine weeks ago. I don't usually write reviews but Jane and her team were amazing, often going above and beyond what a wedding vendor would typically do. From the first time we met Jane and Amy, they always talked about how their team is like a big family, and it's true. Amy was our assigned point of contact, but when we exchanged emails, the entire JHE team is CC'd.

This means that everybody knows what's going on at all times. When Amy was on vacation (which she absolutely deserved), another JHE team member stepped up and helped us schedule a few meetings. When we had a last minute change and needed to bring something to our venue, somebody said they'll stop by and take care of it for us. Oh, and I haven't even mentioned the food yet.

As the theme for our wedding started to take shape, we had more and more opinions on our dinner options. Amy and Chef Jason patiently listened to us and provided creative options that we didn't think of. Here we are, almost two months later, and our friends and family still mentioned how tender the duck and fish were, how amazing the tuna tartare was, and how they couldn't get enough of the dessert bar. Jane herself was at our wedding to take care of our parents. Amy was always close by to make sure we tried all the food. Afterwards, they gave us more food for later, which was super convenient the next morning. I'm getting hungry as I type this review.

I wish they had a restaurant we could go visit and eat everything again! JHE is often listed on the required or recommended catering list for many venues for a reason. They know all the ins and outs of those venues and have excellent working relationships with their staff. Also, JHE has the capability to be a one stop shop for your event needs. They have entertainment, audio, and lighting services available in addition to all the food and drinks you can imagine. All in all, if you're considering a caterer or event planner for your wedding or corporate event, Jane Hammond Events should be on your short list.

I was surprised when Jane answered the phone herself, and even more surprised and delighted by our conversation. It quickly became clear that the catering budget for our non-profit fundraising event would not be sufficient for the top-drawer, full service catering that Jane Hammond Events provides. However, Jane took ample time to talk over my my event, and to provide six references that would be more in alignment with my needs.

If you are looking for a caterer who is responsive, professional, and attentive, and who knows the catering business inside and out, you can't go wrong with Jane Hammond.

I could go on and on about how fantastic Jane Hammond and her team are. This winter Jane Hammond Events coordinated our holiday party at the SF MOMA and truly made our vision come alive. Working very closely with Ceanna, she really listened to all of our requests and was happy to offer suggestions and alternatives. The food was spectacular. They were willing to accommodate each and every dietary restriction and request we made without question.

The set up and clean up went seamlessly. They worked efficiently and precisely, coordinating with all the vendors to make sure logistics ran smoothly from start to finish. Day of event Jane's team was on top of every detail, not a thing was overlooked. Every member of this team is an absolute delight to work with and can give great insight from florals to food. I would HIGHLY recommend partnering with them to help plan your next event.

This review is long overdue! I booked Jane Hammond Events to cater my company's 10 year anniversary party at SF MOMA. I initially reached out to a dozen different catering companies but found that Jane Hammond Events truly saw our vision and had an excellent menu. As someone who does event planning, I am extremely picky and have high standards. Amy Trapp was the lead for our event and she executed flawlessly.

Everything looked absolutely stunning when I arrived and they even made sure I always had glass of champagne in my hand! It was a treat to enjoy the event knowing it was in good hands with Amy and her team. The food was sooo delicious! A HUGE thank you to Jane Hammond Events for making our 10 year anniversary one that people STILL talk about almost a year later!

Wish I could give them 10 stars! Jane and Olivia provided gold star service for out alumni event for over 700 people. They were prompt in responses, flexible with our needs, and I never heard the words "we can't do that" from them. Strongly recommend!

Jane and her amazing team catered my wedding at the end of July. We worked very closely with Ceanna, and couldn't have been more pleased. They really listened to us and made our vision come to life. I also LOVED that they didn't hesitate to make suggestions, or offer alternatives. After all, they are the experts. The JHE team- every single person was professional, kind and attentive.

They made us and our wedding guest feel like VIP. Anything we needed, they were on it. Ceanna even came to our rehearsal dinner to do a walkthrough with everyone. She is the best. The food- holy wow! The food was amazing. EVERYONE at the wedding loved the food, and some thought they wouldn't. Why? It was 1000% vegetarian. But, Jane and her chefs pulled it off.

Everything was so good. From the apps to the buffet, people couldn't get enough. The setup and cleanup- the JHE team made everything look perfect. They were fast, exact and rock starts. They even cleaned everything up beautifully. When we were ready to head home all of decor and personal items were boxed up neatly and waiting for us. They even boxed up a ton of food for us.

We for sure had an amazing meal the day after. : I cannot thank Jane, Ceanna and the rest of the team enough. They are an incredible group of a people with a gift of making challenging events look easy to pull off. If you are thinking about going with her- DO IT! You won't regret it.

We worked with Jane Hammond Events for the catering and coordination of our recent wedding in the Napa Valley. We could not be happier with their amazing service, food, staff and professionalism. Our wedding went off without a glitch, and for that we are SO grateful to the team at JHE: Jane herself, Amy our coordinator, Naomi, and the many other wonderful managers, chefs, bartenders and waitstaff that worked our event and during the days and months leading up to it. Heidi is an amazing chef.

She and her team work tirelessly to make everything perfect. I have literally never had better food at a wedding than we had at ours! We had a served dinner of salmon or lamb, and both entrees were generous portions of the most delicious, perfectly cooked food! People were raving about the food: from the stunning cheese display, the artistic, yummy passed appetizers at cocktail hour to the delicious salad that awaited each guest as they sat down.

On arrival, JHE provided lavender lemonade and iced tea, which was a welcoming gesture to our guests as they arrived pre-ceremony. After the ceremony, the bar tenders were ready with delicious mojitos (our special cocktail), champagne and wine. Passed appetizers were expediently circulated, and the kitchen even brought us (the bride and groom) a special little platter of appetizers to enjoy when we freshened up post-photos.

Our coordinator and day of manager, Amy Trapp, was a total rock-star and made everything flow beautifully. She was in charge of the timeline and always warned us when we were needed for the next "duty" (cake cutting, sitting for dinner, etc). Although she was managing a large staff, she seemed calm and in control throughout the day. She was also an absolute pleasure to work with in the time leading up to the big day.

In the year of planning our wedding, JHE was always very timely about getting back to us with answers to our questions, and helped us find some of our other wonderful vendors: Dan from Love in the Mix did our DJ and lighting, Svenja from Chestnut and Vine did our floral design and decoration and Andi Hatch was our photographer. Amy also coordinated all of our rentals from the four different rental companies we worked with.

She made sure everything was there on time, and set up properly. Our wedding site was a private estate that JHE had never worked at before, but that never stopped them from making everything perfect. They were very obliging in coming to visit the venue for a pre-wedding walk through, as well as the day before for our rehearsal. There were some challenging issues to work with at our venue, but JHE was never phased by these obstacles, and always managed to find us solutions. Jane, the owner of the company, worked with me in the initial planning stages, and she is an absolute pleasure to work with.

So easy-going and fun, yet full of good ideas and an artistic eye. Her entire staff really cares about what they do, and you will never feel as if you are being pushed through a wedding-factory. Every event is treated with absolute personal attention, and your guests and family will feel at ease as everything is taken care of in such a seamless fashion. If you are getting married in the bay area, or having any sort of event, make sure you work with the amazing Jane Hammond Events!

We were very lucky to have worked with Jane Hammond and her staff. They were patient, diligent and attentive throughout the whole process. They also made recommendations to a few partnered vendors who worked out perfectly. Naomi, our coordinator, is a superstar with her professionalism and expertise. She came up with things that we would have missed and made our lives easier.

We had great confidence in her and the rest of the JHE team. We trusted them that their food was great, so we did not opt for a tasting beforehand. Typically, wedding food is not something that most guests look forward to but JHE exceeded my expectations. They worked with us to develop a custom menu and the execution was flawless. I work in the food industry and can say that I am a very discerning critic, but JHE passed with flying colors. Their quote was fair and the level of service was extraordinary. On the biggest day of our lives, we don't think we could have trusted anyone else!
