Services
In 1954, a customer approached Joe Caparosa, Sr., founder of Family Bowlaway, "Can you teach my son to bowl?" Family Bowlaway's history and involvement in the community began when Joe Caparosa, Sr., bought Penn Lanes, a 10-lane bowling alley that employed "pin boys" who reset every pin by hand. At that time, it was a small second-story bowling alley across from Penn Theater, a cinema on Main Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Our center is home to multiple leagues who bowl throughout the year. Leagues are always looking for new members and we would love to put you in contact with them! Each league is a unique mix of youth, men's, women's, and mixed teams who bowl in sanctioned or non-sanctioned leagues. We are operating in summer hours and ask you to leave a voicemail with contact information if we don't answer the phone. Our youth leagues are a highlight in our center. Many of our bowlers have grown up right before our very eyes and now have kids of their own.
Unique industrial venue for 170 guests with featured activites and a no stress planning process! Let's celebrate love, birthdays, the coming together of families and coworkers in our activity filled venue. Exclusive access to The BackAlley and all of the activities (duckpin bowling, bocce, corn hole, and pig skins and pins).
Only our absolute favorites make it to our preferred vendor list and have worked on location before! Select a drink package to fit your guests! Our RAMP-certified in-house bartenders provide excellent customer service and professionalism.

Tusk. Came here on a field trip and let me tell yall. This was SO ghetto. Shoes are warn, bowling balls were greasy and felt gross. The place was overall musty. Save your money. Thank me later.

I don't know anything about the bowling alley, but the laser tag area was pretty cool. It has not changed a single bit since I was a child 20 plus years ago. It'd be nice if they changed it up a little bit. And the child running the thing calls me vintage one more time.

Typical bar food. The whole wing sauce was good but the chicken itself needed seasoning. However, the chef made us homemade honey mustard when they ran out so that was very nice. Also the mac n cheese is pretty good. Their event room is AWESOME and so is the event manager.

Had a kids birthday party there. Kids had fun with laser tag and games and such. Wouldn't book a party during bowling tournaments again though.

I love going to bowl here. The prices are reasonable, and the lanes are good. They do offer league options for those who want to have a little extra fun with a few friends. They also have a small arcade and offer laser tag as well. The food is good but it could be better. The staff are awesome and extremely helpful. There isn't much bad that I can say about the bowling alley, but the bar is another story that will be a separate review.

How can you not have fun Bowling? They offer regular and Cosmic bowling. Its best to call ahead and reserve your lane as they get busy. They have a mini arcade on site as well as the 11th frame bar

We love it there! Such a great place for youth groups. Andy and the gang always do an amazing job making everything perfect. Such a reasonable price for laser tag, bowling, and food. We go every year.

Always a great place to visit! Environment is perfect for the family! If you want to grab drinks after work, the 11th Frame has a great beer selection on tap!

It's our families favorite bowling spot! Staff is all young folk but that doesn't seem to affect the service and timeliness. The place itself is older and is a bit outdated. They have updated the alleys and the digital software. The food isn't the best, we usually order from the bar next door.

I came here on a Friday night with my girlfriends family to enjoy some drinks and dinner. The bar has tons of beers on tap. The menu is extensive and gives even picky eaters options. They also have tons of activities! There is a bowling ally connected to the restaurant, along with pool and darts. There is a ton of seating and they can accommodate large groups pretty well!

There was a well balanced atmosphere of families and people just having a drink. The service was a bit confusing, I was unsure who was waiting tables vs bar tending. It seemed like whoever was free was sent out to take orders. That made a little complicated for reordering drinks and our food. We got fried pickles as an appetizer. The fried pickles were great!

The breading stuck to them well and they weren't soaked in grease. The dill ranch was also homemade and it was good with the pickles. My girlfriend got the western burger and I got the Bronx Bomber. The waitress said the lowest temp they could cook the burger was medium. That is always a huge let down for me. Don't even ask if you can't do anything below a certain temperature.

Other than that the burger had a good grilled flavor and the onion rings went well on top. My sandwich was lack luster. The name was appealing and I had high expectations. It was a mix between a Rachel and a Ruben. The bread was toasted but the meat was still kind of cold and the cheese wasn't melted. It didn't have that much meat on it either.

This place is a very fun place to bowl. I like the atmosphere compared to other bowling alleys around my area. I love the glow in the dark bowling. It is a a lot of fun. They have a great snack bar, as well as a great game room. They even have laser tag. You have to pay for everything, but it is well worth it.

I have not been bowling in a while, so I had no idea what to expect as far as prices. I took my wife and 3 kids out for a couple of games of bowling thinking "what can it possibly be 15, maybe 20 bucks?" Well 1.5 hours and 57.50 later, and I was shocked! I checked online and most people were saying their usual cost is 1.50 -2 per person. We got soaked for 4.50 per person and 2.50 ea shoe rental. It was fun but not "cheap" by any means.
