Went there for an outdoor yoga class and I loved it! Such an amazing spot!

We had a fantastic experience planning our intimate New year's wedding and reception at The Penny. Tracy walked us through every step, helped coordinate vendors, and was there to help with last minute needs even as the ceremony started. The Sidecar crew arranged a personalized tasting so as to make sure we loved our drinks. Our guests loved the venue and had a blast.

It felt so intimate but there was plenty of room for DJ/dancing and buffet tables. Plus we used virtually no decorations or flowers bc the setting is already stunning. Highly recommend!

I had a phenomenal experience booking and planning my sister's bridal shower at the Penny. It was an absolutely beautiful venue even to the smallest detail - from the industrial chic atmosphere of the entire building to the unbelievable glamour and class of the bathrooms as well. The owner was kind and professional and helped us make everything run smoothly the day of the event which was much appreciated.

We even had help coordinating with vendors as my sister has a strict gluten and dairy free diet so we were ecstatic to have Bliss Cafe cater our event as well! You won't be disappointed booking here. My sister had a wonderful time and so did we and all her guests.

Awesome venue! The staff at The Penny were extremely helpful and accomodating in planning our event. The proximity to everything in downtown SLO is an added bonus!

The Penny was the perfect place to host our corporate event. Not only was it affordable for a beautiful place, the events manager made the process so seamless and easy. All of their rental furniture we borrowed was great as well. I would not have changed a thing about my experience. Thanks, Tracy!

If you're looking for a fun party location for a rehearsal dinner or corporate gathering in downtown SLO-The Penny is full of character and a great choice. Created by the owners of Sidecar and Tinker Tin, they have tricked out this old blacksmith shop with both indoor and outdoor areas keeping a warm vintage feel, yet ready for hipster creativity when you are planning your event.

I attended a great party there last night and am sure hoping to return. Space for mingling with friends, listening to live music and of course dance party later in the evening. Nice bathrooms too!
