Billy James' first experience as a DJ was a sock hop for 600 students in the gym of his own Connecticut high school while a sophomore there in the 1960's. During the 1970's, Billy was the keyboardist and leader of Timepiece and the Billy James Combo, premier lounge and show bands in the New York-Boston area.

The equipment we rented at Billy the DJ was absolutely perfect for our 40 people graduation party! My granddaughter made a playlist on her phone and the bluetooth worked perfectly. The mixer board brought out the bass and it sounded awesome in our backyard. The price was reasonable and Billy made the set up so easy that even a grandmother could work it! I totally recommend Billy's services for any party and will definitely use him again!

DJ Billy James was accommodating with my pickup and drop off time of the equipment I rented from him. The equipment was high quality and served it's intended purpose perfectly. He provided clear and detailed instructions and made himself available should I have any further questions when I went to set the equipment up later on. I highly recommend him and will be a return customer if I need audio equipment in the future!

DJ Billy James is fantastic! I needed audio equipment for a mini tour in Arizona and I rented equipment from DJ Billy James. It was a great experience and I was happy with every detail. He was quick to respond to inquiries, he took time to go over equipment details and he had everything I needed and more. I needed some speakers to DJ a weekend bachelor party in Scottsdale and reached out to Billy James only a few days before my group's arrival from out-of-town. Billy was very responsive and provided excellent quality sound equipment for our event. His communication was great and really just made the whole rental process very easy. He gave detailed in-person instructions on how to use the equipment and was flexible with pickup and drop off times. I rented a Karaoke system for my sisters' 30th birthday weekend and could not have been more satisfied with the equipment or my experience working with Mr. James!
