Cavender Castle

We had our wedding here and the owners are very kind. The scenery is beautiful and they offer selections of decorations to help make your day perfect! Highly recommend!

Excellent kind people! We married last week at the gazebo with a family of 10. Loved that we had the place to ourselves and multiple options setup if we needed to move indoors. Bridal & groom suites were comfortable. We brought our own vendors but Rev Rick helped setup our decor, shuttled family on the golf cart, and was overall ready and willing to help. There was one miscommunication in the planning process, but they quickly corrected and all was well day of. Great people and we had a great wedding!

Needs some maintenance with they are working on it. The owners are very knowledgeable and kind. The property is beautiful, cannot wait to get married here!

It's ok for the money. Need a shaded area where the chairs are at the outside gazebo. Everything needs pressure washing outside including the "Castle". Trim above castle garage door needs paint. The castle sign is faded. Bad bumpy gravel drive going up to venue.

Cavender Castle did a great job with our wedding! We wanted low stress, simple, and affordable. We got everything we wanted as well as a beautiful ceremony. They also made great recommendations for a hair stylist, flowers, and a location for the reception. Pictures were great. Would highly recommend.

Rick, Cyndi, and Delaney Durham made sure that we had THE wedding of our dreams! They were super nice, patient, and helpful throughout the whole wedding and wedding process! I HIGHLY recommend The Castle to anyone wanting to get married in an affordable, enchanted castle with beautiful scenery. They really made me and all my family and friends feel so welcomed.

This place was beautiful and would be perfect place for couples to have their weddings and receptions. It Also has gracious land outside for you to have your service there or your receptions.

BEWARE! Planned to have our wedding here and put deposit down, was told that we could cancel and get deposit back as long as it was within 72 hours. My wife and I decided to elope to Las Vegas and canceled our wedding at the castle well within the 72 hr period. Have contacted the owners multiple times and have been ignored and still haven't received our deposit back.

I have had to put in a dispute on my credit card for the amount of the deposit. People seem nice and wonderful until they don't get what they want from you so beware about putting a deposit down on this place if there is any chance you may change your mind. Fraud and deceit is all you will get from this place and it's owners!

Rick and Delaney were awesome! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. My husband and I wanted something intimate with immediate family and didn't want a big traditional wedding. Their online ceremony builder is awesome, Rick lets you really customize it so you can have exactly what you want. He was a truly nice man and made us all feel so welcome. Delaney was such a great photographer and made sure to get a ton of pictures for us, and they look so pretty! We really couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was exactly what we wanted and the property is so beautiful!

Very nice people, very helpful, and one of the most affordable places around. My wedding was totally DIY and that gave me the freedom to do what I wanted and save a lot of money on a wedding planner. The venue was beautiful and I couldn't have asked for anything more!

This has been the prettiest wedding. The venue has a very special feel to itThe party is outside but it's good. The sound system worked great. I heard all the songs wonderfully. What a great wedding.

I got married November the 3rd 2017. It was my first marriage and I couldn't decide where I wanted to go. I just knew I wanted it private and just a few of my family and friends. I stubbled across Cavender Castle on line and immediately, I knew this was the place for me. The castle is so beautiful. The outside wedding venue was just what I wanted. Rick, Cydi and Delaney where so understanding and professional and patient. I would recommend them anytime for your special occasion. The price is very affordable. Hats off to Cavenders Castle see you in 5 years so I can renew my vows.

My experience here is that of a wedding photographer. I'm only commenting on the visual aspect of the venue. The Good: It's a neat venue. The design alone should tell you that. The outside ceremony area is gorgeous with the marble center piece backed by large magnolia trees. The bridal suite is large and very well suited for a large bridal party. An upstairs hidden patio for is handy when you want to get some fresh air.

The back patio is quite large and well suited for outside use for dining and drinking. Of course I can't forget the lookout atop of the castle which has a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains or if you're lucky like the bride and groom I photographed there, a great view of a double rainbow. The Meh: I'm not a fan of the canary yellow paint, it casts funky color on people when you use your flash or ample ambient light. That's my single meh thought of the place. It's in the back room of the bridal suite and downstairs in the reception area. You wouldn't know it, because your photographer will fix it, but it's just something extra to edit.

Our daughter and her fiance got married here a week ago and we were amazed at how flawlessly it went. Rick and Cyndi made this the perfect wedding experience not only for the bride and groom, but for all that attended! The food, the venue, the decorations all were perfect! If you're planning a wedding and need a venue look no further than The Castle! (Cyndi you're the best. Rick, thanks for the pants!)

The staff here is amazing. Cindi and Rick went out of their way to make sure we got everything we wanted for our big day. The decorations were beautiful and the cake was better than anything I could have hoped for. I would recommend this place to everyone!

If you have a year to plan a wedding, or if you only have 60 days this is THE place. Their packages take a lot of the burden off you and allow you to focus on those things that will make your wedding special. Cindy does an unbelievable job in coordinating the event. She is quick to offer suggestions that can put those special touches on your day! They have a list of vendors, bakers, florists, tuxedo providers, photographers and videographers that they have worked with and they can speak to the quality of their work.

Many of these vendors will offer you special rates and packages when they know you are having your wedding at the Castle. The staff there is friendly, attentive and a real pleasure to work with. On the day of the wedding the entire staff really shines. We had some of the family that could not go to the buffet and get their food. Without saying a word the staff talked to the disabled guests and made plates for them. I cannot say enough about this place. We had TONS of complements from friends, family and other guests about how wonderful and special the wedding was.
