Was here recently on a trip with my friends and their kids. They have done some renovations according to my new friend, Samantha, who was fantastic and super friendly, and their facilities are now top notch! We were especially impressed with the floor of the new bounce area. The staff was all really great and if we are in the area again, we will totally be stopping in!

Best activity I have taken my son to. We drove 45 mins for this and it was so worth it! So much to play with - toddler heaven! What's more there was a 50% off offer on, absolute bargain!

Brilliant so much to do. We took our 15 month grandson and he didn't stop for over 2 hours literally fell asleep as soon as we got in car. Clean and friendly plenty of parking and good value on a week day

Brilliant place and staff, we did the Harry potter experience and they were so enthusiastic and interesting, kids loved it. Also we went with 4 kids, one fell from a table while they were out of sight and a lady member of staff looked after her and put an icepack on her until i found her. She was lovely and completely went above and beyond. She was also dressed as a wizard which was great. The kids would spend every day here if they could. The Wizard with the animals was also great, so exciting and all the kids got stroke some different animals. It's a must

Kids love it here! I can't think of a bad thing to say. Kids can easy spend all day here. There 4 man sections Outdoor (undercover play area) Indoor free/role play area Indoor pirate theme area Indoor jungle theme area If you go in the holidays and have timed play seasons they give the kids half an hour in each area so they can enjoy it all. If it's a week day with full play sessions the 100% worth staying for dinner as the kids can easy spend hours in here. Pram friendly Toilets Cafe (great with allergies)

Fantastic play centre for all ages. My Grandson is 2 and 1/2 and he loved the Construction Site Area. Hardest thing is dragging them away after your 2 hour session! Also great friendly helpful staff.

Love this place there is so much to do under one roof for my kids. I always go on the quiter times as the busy events can be abit hetic! The only down side is the cafe doesnt offer much choice and is quite pricey but it is worth it for the amount of things going on and the events I have been told are also fantastic. Highly reccomended.

Very nice indoor play centre, lots of different areas for the kids to explore with different themes. The only downside is that there are multiple rooms so finding your kids can be tricky and there's no seating area which has a view into all of the play areas. There's also a sandpit in a covered outdoor area.

WOW, this is a mindblowing play area fir children - even little ones. Several huge play areas, all undercover. Sand pits, water play, soft play, tunnels, bouncy castles, building, climbing walls and toys for imaginative play. Easy access for pushchairs or wheelchairs and plenty of seating - but be aware that your table may be in an area other than where your child is playing (but you can move tables if they're available).

There are toilets with changing tables and a few areas you can get drinks and refreshments (which were lovely). Regular appearances of characters such as PJ masks etc and yesterday we saw shrek and the dragon. There was also a showing of lizards and other small creatures (scorpion, tarantula and giant snails) really informative talk about them too.

Over all it was clean, well staffed and well worth the money. We'll done to all the staff and for the business owner who is continually improving and changing the facilities. Thank you for a lovely day out, we will be back time and again. (Oh and a small plant nursery and aquatic shop, hot tub sales for adults and plenty of parking)

Always love coming here except for the last time as it was SO busy. I think there may have been 2 parties on. so, it's understandable but they know in advance how busy it's going to be as you have to book so you would think they would have been prepared (which they definitely were not)

Booked an event for today, tried for 2 days to inform them that members of the group had tested positive for covid 19, phones kept ringing out and no responses to emails until after the booking and basically saying that there is no refund and they won't accommodate a date change. I didn't even ask for a refund. Completely and utterly unreasonable and will not be going there again

We attended the Christmas event and to be honest for 9 of us, it was 144 which is expensive. Although the staff worked hard it just wasn't value for money for us. I thought you might of got an actual present from Santa, not just a snack sized Haribo. It was so busy we couldn't sit down. The build a bear was small, the make a bauble, you can buy 4 for 1.99 from b&m bargains and the playbarn parts were too busy.

WARNING - if you buy tickets and can no longer attend due to covid or otherwise, Castaway will not refund or even transfer the ticket. This is not stated anywhere in the terms and conditions and from my experience, Castaway will not show you where it is stated. Poor customer service as others on here have mentioned.

Came for the toy story event and was disappointed. They seemed to of over sold this event as place was absolutely rammed full - no tables to sit at and could hardly social distance. Barely saw the characters, tried to follow woody & disappeared. Jessie was walking around with little space for photos so poor organisation. Never saw Buzz. Will try again at a less busier time of year as my little girl loved the water play area and bouncy castles.

More safety measures should also be in place e.g around the bouncy castle bits. My girl fell and hit her head on the floor down the bouncy castle slide, gym mats would be good for soft landings as accidents happen daily for children.

Suitable from crawling to older children and all in between. My toddler loved it. Is very big and has plenty of variety. It was busy but because the space is big it doesn't feel crowded. Coffee was good. Good value for money. Will definitely come back. Suggestion to the business: please add shoe shelves at entrance and ask people to wear socks. Outside shoes are not allowed at most other kids attraction places.

Very unhappy with the service we have received. After booking and paying for a santa visit well in advance we had very excited children. We then received a phone call to say they can no longer do this date. We had booked and paid well in advance? We then had difficulty obtaining a refund and were told they do not do refunds. Honesty is the best policy and i suspect they had over booked. The customer service following this mistake was not satisfactory and i now have some very upset children.

We've visited here a few times now and it never fails to disappoint. I love the themed play sessions they do such as Jurassic and Halloween. We've booked to go back for Christmas. The kids (3 and 5) really enjoy it. There's so much to do and the staff are fantastic with the children. Great value for money and lovely food choices available. Highly recommended this hidden gem!

My daughter absolutely loves it. So much for young kids to do, sandpits with toys, water play, construction play, soft play, indoor and outdoor bouncy castles, endless slides, go karting, tree house.it really is play heaven for them. There's a cafe and plenty of places to sit and eat. For the price it really is fantastic.

Came here to play with my son while I studied and he was occupied the entire time! They even made sure to disinfect every 2 hours. Will definitely be coming back!

Was there last weekend for 2 yr old birthday party. had small private room. My biggest complaint is the heat.oh my goodness it is really really warm in there. The pizza is meh.our hostess was very attentive and friendly. One little one in the group managed to meet the elbow or knee of another kid and ended up with bloody nose and the staff was all over it.

They checked her out, gave her ice and was very 'kid friendly' with her. Even brought her a stuffed toy and made her laugh. I thought over all it was a ok place to wear out the kids. Sofas in the play area could use an update but biggest complaint was the heat. Would I go back? ummmm not unless I dressed for the heat and wasn't hungry.

Filthy dirty. Overcrowded to the point of danger. No tables to eat - but no worries, the food won't be there for over an hour (it's corn dogs and a salad, not filet mignon!). Broken arcade games; those that work do not spit out tickets. Every staff member that we approached mumbled, "I don't normally work tickets/arcade/food, can't help you." In 3 hours, no staff wiped tables or cleaned bathrooms, swept floors. Looks like it has been at least 3 weeks. Nasty, gross, disgusting, unsafe food (hotdogs were cold inside), how does this place stay in business?

Our family will no longer spend our money on this establishment. Although our toddler loves coming here and it's a great way to expend her energy. I will no longer expose my child to these conditions. I do not believe this place has any housekeeping. Even after informing the staff numerous times of the bathrooms or play structure nothing has improved.

The food is far from healthy, and overpriced. All the games are broken and when you do inform the staff they give you very blank look and you might get a sorry and no refund for all your lost tokens. Lastly, today my toddler wondered into the playroom/childcare area, for not even 20 seconds and the lady immediately yelled at me (incredible snarky) and my daughter stating she could not be in there. She's 2. Unfortunately this place could be a awesome but it is not properly operated or maintained.

Good place for the kids to play but never order food here. You will grow old and die while waiting for it. I wouldn't be bothered but hungry kids are upset.

My kids loved the bounce house and the play structure. Samantha is fabulous, but has too many jobs to do all at once. They could use more staff and/or cross trained staff. After waiting 20 minutes to place a food order, one employee walked by and stood around explaining, "Sorry, I don't do food. Samantha will be with you in a bit."

We took our two year old and infant for the first time. We enjoyed it. It was $10 for us to use the play area and arcade. The 'under 3' area was all she could use but it entertained her for quite awhile. We went on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all so she could also be in the arcade without it being crowded. Pizza is a little pricey but it was pretty good.

You can tell the foam toys, furniture and parts of the play structure were definitely warn. If they could get newer couches and spruce up the play area it would be 5 stars. We'll visit again. She had a blast for a solid two hours.

This place has awesome potential. Really, it does. What it's lacking is staff and a decent cafe. They have an ok variety and snacks and food- but be prepared to wait an hour for a grilled cheese. If this place bulked up their staff a bit- invested in a nicer cafe and just did some very modest updating, this would be the place to be for your littles. And some advertising. I just moved to Howell from the Eastside and had never even heard of this place. This place has so much potential!

Truly sad.this was a great place to go. We drive over an hour to get here. NOT anymore. The food is less for more money, they have raised their fees from $3-4 to $10 per kid! AND NOW THEY CHARGE THE PARENTS TO ENTER! really? One new inflatable.? The pads the kids land on are the same smashed down ones they have had for years! Don't get me started on the nasty couches I have to pay to sit on and the dust.just sad that such a great concept and business is now serious crap. We're done.looking for another play area.

Really unhappy with the pricing. They charge $4 for Adults now. Would they like me to drop off my toddler and leave? They can already get my money with tea, coffee, snacks, etc. I have never seen a kids play place charge for adults before. Ridiculous. FYI - in nearby Brighton, the 242 community center has a free kids play structure.

Review for Play: My children (3 and 6) like to play here, and I don't mind bringing them. However, I feel like every time I come, the place gets dirtier. Review for "preschool": If you have ever been here on a weekday, you will notice that they have preschool located inside the building. Based on what I observed on one day, please, please do NOT bring your children here!

The children seem to spend most of their time sitting around a small table, usually crying with absolutely no attempt to console them by the caregivers. The caregivers seem very young and have no control over the children. I watched as one caregiver dragged two young boys by their hands, dangling them from one arm which is very unsafe.

Went for the first time Friday night. Our two year old LOVED it! Lots for her to play on and do. She liked the options of going into the huge play area with the tunnel slides, or the bounce house area. Both areas were kept very clean, and even saw one of the staff going through the play areas with disinfectant. They're a little under staffed, but were definitely trying to be on top of things at the registers. Prices aren't bad for what you get either, food-wise. We'll be going back again for sure.

Very fun place. My 7 year old son and two buddies are having a great time. The play structure is humongous and amazing. Laser tag was fun to. The chicken strips and fries seem better than the pizza according to the boys. I thought the pizza was okay. Be sure to go to castaway Bay's website and print off any and all coupons very well worth. Heads up not everything takes tokens and not everything takes quarters.

I would say negative would be either have all games take all tokens or all games take quarters but not both. Hopefully be back soon. One Side Note no outside food. You may want to bring a sharpie or something so he write people's names on cups. you may want to bring a fresh pair of socks to wear on the way home. We got here approximately 10:30 AM on Friday morning and there is plenty of tables. Is now approximately 2:30 PM in the afternoon and tables are at a premium. Oh yea you may want to bring a portable cell phone charger.

I can't say I am a fan. The have the largest indoor play structure in Michigan. That being said, it is the best thing it has. They have a couple inflatables that are no big deal. Also, they have a game room which takes up too much room ( in my opinion). I was not a fan. I prefer the Mczdonald play land a lot better. I was excited about the concept of Castaways but was not impressed. price was pretty steep. Ias other reviews stared, there were no cubbies for shoes, so be prepared for that. Bring a bag if you are bringing a couple kids.

Today we visited Castaway, and our experience was MORE then AMAZING! The night staff was completely accommodating! My children stopped in to take advantage of the 4-9 pm Unlimited Laser Tag, Unlimited Bounce Houses, Unlimited Play Structure and pizza and pop for only $20. The staff treated my children like queens as they wore them completely out playing along with the kids, (since it was a slow night) as they wanted them to have a memorable experience!

My kids couldn't get enough as they had so much fun playing along with the teen staff, while they came home and talked about it all night! The night staff went over and above their call of duty making all the kids feel so welcome. I must also add the $2.00 Ice Cream Sandwich's alone are worth a stop in.even if your just in the area, passing by and looking for a tasty treat!

The size of the sandwiches blew me away as they had to be the size of my daughters head.not to mention the excitement they had picking out their favorite cookie and toppings."how cool". I very rarely write reviews, but I was impressed that I couldn't help but share our amazing experience."Thanks Castaway" ALSO, in case your wondering.(I'm NOT a paid Employee)

I went with a friend and her two year old on a Tuesday afternoon during the summer. There were about 10-15 kids running around at any time during our trip. Our little tyke had a blast running from one end to the other. I would agree with some of the other reviews I had read about this place that the staffing should be a bit better. It seems to be run by teenagers that don't really care to pay attention when there is a customer that would like to order a snack or cash in tickets for prizes.

A plus is that all but two of the arcade games were working the whole place seems to be better organized from the last time I was here. The snack options in my opinion should be priced lower some of the options are ridiculously over priced.

Don't put too much stake in the older reviews. This place was a great time. The construction is complete and all the rooms are open. Bounce area, laser tag, smaller game room and the largest play structure I've seen. One slide has to be 35 ft high and over 60ft long! Free wifi for parents wasni This is not a place for kids 3 and under. Most 4-5 year olds will do well.

Most kids in the 5-10 year old range. Went on a colder Sunday around 1pm. Not over packed but did get a little busy when a 25 kid b-day party came in. The food is just okay but the prices were not bad. $5 for a kids meal. $2 for a slush or Gatorade. $1 for bottled water. Overall would go again for sure. Our 4 & 5 year olds had a blast for $18 admission plus food and drink.

On paper, this was a great idea. My son is in a stage where he likes to "Go, go, go!" (His words, not mine) So a place with tons of slides sounded like his idea of paradise. Our mistake? Going on a Saturday afternoon. Their mistake? Only have airheaded teenagers on staff. If you are looking for a place to let your children expel some pent-up energy, this is a pretty great option.

I must say that the younger kids will get trampled by others if they try to use the bigger play area- so you would likely want to crawl along with your tyke. It was pretty crowded - so there was a wait to get into the play area (they were at max capacity). I would say that this process was EXTREMELY un-organized. The girls on staff seemed a little confused and not sure of what to do. The parking lot is also absolutely horrendous. I would suggest trying to go at a not-so-busy time.
