Went here for first time with my grandkids during a Sat 1-4pm $8 special as this was all their first times and they seemed to really enjoy doing some skating. I myself was disappointed at times with the personnel that worked behind the skate rental as they just did not seem to happy to be working there. I also had an issue with some "older big kid" speed skating on roller blades nearly running down my grand son as well as other kids.
I complained to the staff and nothing was done about it. I complained to the "kid" and he surely did not care. I hope management really takes a look into these kind of issues as this is supposed to be a fun family place.

The prices were fair and the times of the skating sessions were good also. They start at 6:30 during the week. I would've given this place 5 stars if they opened earlier like maybe 5pm. As well as if the seating were more comfortable. The food prices were pretty high. $4.00 for a 16oz fountain drink. That's kind of ridiculous and when I asked for just a cup of water they wanted to charge $2.00.
I honestly am just going to bring in some water bottles next time. They had a pool table and arcade games which was super nice. Air hockey. Just those drinks prices. I can't get over it. Food prices I understand, but $2.00 for a cup of water.

Great place for family fun time and i love how they have the strollers for the beginner skaters. We didnt have those in my day. My 4 year old daughter was able to get on the floor and skate with me and wife. She did really great for her first time. It may get crowded some times but the kids love it. Also, a great place to host birthday parties. I'm hoping to host my daughter's next birthday party there

Saturday was my first time ever visiting Cal Skate GT. It was an Adult Night session hosted by DJ Gumby. He was awesome! He is the best DJ I've heard at any of the popular adult sessions. He ACTUALLY played skate songs. His rotation was fair and balanced considering skating is a multigenerational sport and activity. I grew up skating to 70's music and Disco; unfortunately, most millennials don't want to skate to old school music.
I was really surprised by the tunes the deejay played. He brought the vibes during trios, ladies only, males only sets. He is dope! The rink floor was in top-notch condition! Newly repaired and freshly polished. The best and biggest floor in SoCal! It was smooth with no divots. The center practice area was a bit small-not enough room for jamming or practicing. Bathrooms were clean but there are only 3 stalls.
The price was great especially considering the distance from my residence in San Fernando Valley and current gas prices. Parking was adequate on the street. There was plenty of staff to serve patrons. Pro Shop was open and stocked with essentials. I wanted jam plugs, but they didn't have them. Locker prices are $1.00. It had a full snack bar with a decent selection and prices.
The seating area was huge. Water flasks are not allowed inside so you must purchase water. I like bringing my own alkaline water with hydration packets and pre-workout boosts, and recovery branch-chained amino acids. Aquafina and Perrier waters are available for purchase. I don't care for the food selection. I would prefer healthier options, but I understand the Snack Bar needs to be fast and easy.
My only drawbacks are the skate mates on the floor during the adult section, and the number of amateurs on the floor. The DJ was very diligent about promoting safety and encouraging proper skating etiquette. A couple of time I rolled over candy or something. I will definitely return even though the Club Skate vibes weren't as hype as Cal Skate GT's competitors. It was overall a good time.

The best part of this skating rink are the people who show up at each session. I have a special needs grandson and everyone made him feel so special. It breaks my heart that the people that work there do not take pride in their own rink and realize it is the people that make this place great. I can not believe the lies that the workers are posting about all the people who just want a place to call home, friends, and family.
That is what I remember when I was a young teen living at the skating rink. The Joy the skating rink brought to me and my family and friends gave us a safe place to hang out. Everyone loved and encouraged one another which is what this world needs right now. If the coaches and manager do not get their lives in order and start thinking about the people they will run this rink into the ground.
We need more skating rinks not less because people are self centered and do not want to be held accountable for their actions. They need to listen to the people. I was there for Holloween and I had to run in with my special needs grandson because they put huge scary, loud decorations at the front door. They were not thinking of everyone that was for sure. I really hope this skating rink can turn around quickly before they small few loose it for everyone.

Great music and skating fun, small arcade, pool table ($1), air hockey ($2) and more. Coin machine and ATM on site. Hot wings and chili cheese fries were real good. Food prices were reasonable Menu small wings, hot dogs, nachos, Chilli cheese fries and chips and candy. Great place for birthday party.

We have been coming here for over 10 yrs! Its a very fun skating rink with great music awesome people! Great for family gatherings to skate and or bring your friends and have a fun skate night! You can have a skate party which we are doing pretty soon for our daughter! You can do 70's parties 80's and 90's! So much fun! The employees are always so neat and and helpful and super nice! And always checking how you are doing!;and now it looks even better! It got a facelift! It looks retro with black and neon colors! Were excited to go back since 2019!:>
