Had our wedding and had Bill do the DJing at The Old Rancho in San Diego. Everything went perfectly, and it was the best night of our life. Everything from the ceremony, to toasts, to dancing went off without a hitch. We had some last minute changes due to a bridesmaid being sick, and Bill accommodated changes day of. He has a great personality, and was SUPER responsive throughout the entire process and easy to communicate with. Thank you Bill!

Everything about our experience with Bill, from the process of selecting songs, to his accommodation of a few special details, to his night-of MCing was top notch. Bill we love your taste in music, your natural command of the crowd, and your patience - all of which went into making our wedding quite literally THE best day of our lives. DJ Bill Calhoun was super amazing! Not only that he has a great voice, he would accommodate all of our requests. He's super easy to talk to and very generous! He went out of his way to find songs for me and did a great job playing the music throughout the night. We asked Bill to DJ our Feb 2020 wedding and so glad we did! From start to finish, Bill was incredibly professional. His years of experience in the wedding industry was obvious from our first interactions with him. He went above and beyond and even helped us figure out our ceremony space set up (relevant to where he'd be). He creates clear guidelines for when and how to communicate ceremony, cocktail, and reception music in a user-friendly and organized manner. Bill was AMAZING. We were so lucky to find him. He was super helpful in explaining the process and what we needed to do. I had made a pretty extensive list of requests and he did such a great job playing them where appropriate! Also, he worked with a friend that we had play some live music for our ceremony to figure out how he could plug into Bill's system, how they would hand off the music, etc. - everything went seamlessly and it was so special for us.

We had Dave as our DJ and he was amazing! We did our wedding reception and both Bill and Dave were stellar in their service and professionalism. They took our preferences and then made everything even better! Highly highly recommend them!

Bill helped plan out the music choices for our wedding this last weekend and Dave was our DJ. We had a biggg, biggg problem with him. HE WAS SO AMAZING THAT WE COULDN'T KEEP OUR BUTTS OFF THE DANCE FLOOR! Dave helped make our wedding the party that we wanted it to be! Our guests were grooving all night. There was one small technological glitch with the power at the venue and Dj Dave handled it quickly and calmly. This company was easy to work with, this DJ was a true gentleman, 10/10, can't recommend them enough!

Bill was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He started working with us six months before our wedding, when he gave us a timeline of what he needed from us and when. When we got closer to the event, he answered all of our questions and helped us choose the right songs and at the right tempos. His website was easy to use and really helped us think about how the music would affect our event.

During our event, he was instrumental in keeping things running smoothly. We had a large group, and DJ Bill helped us coordinate pictures, dinner, dancing, grand exit. everything. He worked incredibly well with our other vendors, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I recently got married and I am so thankful we chose Bill as our DJ! He is an absolute pro at his job. He knows how to captivate the guests, transition the evening, feel out the vibe, and then play the music accordingly. We hired DJ Bill for our wedding at Mt. Woodson Castle. From the start, Bill was very professional yet personable! His personality meshed well with myself and my husband-to-be; he is easy going but very organized. He was able to get all the random songs I found on YouTube and helped surprise my husband with a secret song sung by me! I was not very particular about the music and told him to do his thing--- everyone was out on the dance floor all night and there was never a "lull" in the evening. I had multiple people comment after the wedding how awesome the DJ was. You will not be disappointed if you hire DJ Bill!

I can't say enough good things about Bill! Not only were his microphones for the ceremony superb (I hate when people don't hear the vows) my groom and I wanted a party after our ceremony and Bill was able to make that happen. We were SO happy to have the ability to select some songs and let him know a little more about our guests. His music choice was family friendly and kept all ages on the dance floor the whole night!

My dream was to have the party continue even after my husband and I left and from the stories we hear, that happened. On another very special note, he actually was the DJ at my parent's wedding. He surprised them by playing their first dance song for one of our slow songs and you can imagine the hearts melting at the sight of them dancing 30 years later and just as in love. Bill was my wedding DJ back almost 15 years ago. He was incredible! So, when I became an event planner, I knew that I could easily refer many clients to him based on his vast knowledge of music, his professionalism and his wonderful personality and customer service. I received a catalog and information about Bill's services in the mail before I knew what i really wanted in a wedding DJ. We decided to use a friend instead but the friend bailed lat minute so I called Bill! He was beyond helpful and professional. Bill helped me plan my entire ceremony and reception. I had no idea what to do at either and had no one I could turn to to help me plan in my family.

We also couldn't afford a wedding planner so I was figuring everything out as I went. Bill really was a wedding saver for me! He sent me templates on timing for a reception and offered wonderful, true, and accurate suggestions for how long things will take and what type of music to play and when. He also had us enter the reception via another door because the song we wanted to play would work better. Honestly, Bill was a last minute decision that I wish I had made first. He hands down made our wedding and the months leading up to it seamless. Thank you Bill!

We had Dave as our DJ for our big day. The planning tool leading up to the wedding was easy to use, and helped keep us organized. They were even able to accommodate a special request. Bill was THE BEST! The wedding was flawless and Bill was beyond easy to work with. He was cooperative, tentative and extremely easy to work with. He took all our song suggestions and also guided me in the planning process! He was kind but honest when I was bouncing my ideas off him, and the day could not have gone any more perfectly. Bill was our wedding DJ last month (April) at the San Diego Women's Club and he did a FANTASTIC job with both the ceremony and the reception! He did everything we asked of him and more, including indulging my friends' weird requests (which made us very happy but I would have totally understood if they thought he was getting pranked when they requested the "Pineapple Pen" song from YouTube).

He was also able to accommodate our requests for music in Spanish, which was really important to us as my husband's family is Mexican American- he downloaded everything we asked for that he didn't already have, and played it all (and our 90s hip hop and pop songs) in a way that kept everybody on the dance floor. On top of all that, his rates are more affordable than several other DJs we looked at. All in all, we can't recommend him enough!

Bill was the DJ at my wedding on 9/4/2015 and he was THE BEST! We only had to talk a couple times and he just knew what we wanted. He made my wedding flow seamlessly and I could not be more thankful for that. My husband and I were so thankful for his skills. My family is already a little crazy and likes to dance, and he kept the music going so everyone was having a good time.

He played exactly what I did request (which was country music during cocktail hour and dinner) and I got SO many compliments from people on how good the music was! Bill was the DJ for our wedding back in March in Temecula. He did such a great job! We had two different locations for sound at our venue. And it went so smooth. We found Bill through Marina Villages list of preferred vendors. My husband and I were thinking about making our own playlist for the wedding, but boy am I happy we didn't! After our initial meeting with Bill, we had great confidence in his knowledge, enthusiasm, and skill. (Helped he had some great yelp reviews, too). Needless to say, our wedding was a success, the reception was fun, and there were always people on the dance floor. He did such a great job at both the ceremony and reception. Every time that we get to work with Bill at one of our events, everything runs so smoothly. He provides amazing entertainment for his client's and all of their guests. Everyone always enjoys themselves and we hear nothing but compliments. He is so professional at his events and will contact our on-site staff if any problems arise. Bill is the best! First of all, he is such a nice person, and my husband and I really like him. His personality is so warm, an he is willing to help out others even if it requires him to go extra miles. That's why we hired him as our wedding DJ. When we first saw him at a coffee shop to discuss our wedding, he brought hundreds of "thank you cards" from people who have hired him.

I thought "wow, he is amazing." I read those cards really carefully, and I really loved what people said about him. On the day of wedding, he was on time, very professional and had a good spirit. We wanted "not too loud" music, and he made sure that our guests didn't hurt their ears by loud music :) His music selection was AMAZING. I gave him song list that I really wanted him to play, but of course he added more songs to pump up the party.

And people just went nuts. Even my dad from Japan who never ever "partied" before was dancing til 11 p.m.! People were jumping and dancing at the same time. What a party. We also gave Bill "don't play songs list, " and he made sure that those songs weren't played. Kids loved it. Adults loved it. Everyone had the best time. And many guests told me our wedding was the funnest wedding they've ever attended. That's exactly what we wanted, and Bill made it happen.

We can't describe how much we appreciate his work. He was so sweet too. When we were about to cut a wedding cake, my hubby and I had no idea what to do since it was our first time :) Bill came to us immediately, and directed us. He was so attentive, polite to all the guests as well. I went to many weddings where DJ sucks at song selection. Or only 6 people were dancing at the dance floor.

Or during a cremony/reception, because of electric trouble, music just cut off, microphone stopped working etc. Of course DJs depend on PCs and electronics, things happen, but with Bill, everything went so smoothly, and there was no problem at all.
