We provide professional live music services specializing in weddings from Lake Tahoe to San Francisco. Our conversation friendly background music will create the perfect ambiance for your wedding.Avalanche has performed at over 800 weddings from groups of just 2 to as many as 300 guests. We have played as all of the great venues that the Truckee Tahoe area has to offer including ski resorts, hotels, private estates, beaches and churches.

Avalanche an Acoustic Duo ~ Violin & Guitar was established in 1997 when Liz and Don were members of the Sacramento Symphony Orchestra. A California native, Liz was raised in Phoenix and graduated from the University ot Southern California with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. Don was the bass trombonist with the Sacramento Symphony.

Our experience was so remarkably similar that my comments pertain to both events. We wanted to have smaller, less formal weddings which meant we wanted to have live music which spoke more directly to our hearts. Finding Avalanche was just what we were looking for; acoustic music performed beautifully by two classically trained pros.

We are able to review the cues that we need the day of your wedding with your officiate prior to the ceremony. We often provide music during rehearsal dinners and for Sunday brunches after weddings, so please ask about our discounted fee for other wedding related events. We will arrive to setup approximately 20-30 minutes before we begin playing. You are not charged for this set up time.
